Tana Lawn – Cebollas Garden sale in uk
Cebollas Garden is a graphic painterly print, inspired by objects of everyday life and the humble Spanish onion, translated as ‘cebollas’. First created as a Liberty furnishing fabric for the seasonal 1960-1961 ranges, it has been re-colored for this collection in dazzling hues.
This collection celebrates the designs of Althea McNish, showcasing the Trinidadian designer’s unique eye for graphic, multi-layered prints in vividly tropical-infused shades. Hailing from Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, she moved to England in the 1950’s and subsequently revolutionized the world of post-war British textile design with her bold and beautiful prints – starting with her very first collection, created as a freelance commission for Liberty Fabrics in 1958. Recreated from Althea’s designs in the Liberty Archive the collection exhibits her vibrant florals and textural patterns in exciting new colorways.
